I just love the AK-47. So i thought i would make a post about it. It shoots the 7.62 NATO round. It was invented in 1947 by Russian tank commander and gun designer Mikhail Kalashnikov. The AK-47 was an improved model of the AK-46; with the only major changes being a fixed wood stock instead of a wire one.AK stands for Autovat Kalashnikov or Kalashnikov automatic rifle. The AK-47 and the other AK variants are the most widely used assalt rifles in the world. (they are also amoung the cheapest to make.) They are used by Militaries, goverment agencies, and criminals around the world. The AK line dose not end at the AK-47 it has been developed all the way into the AK-100s series, but with Mikhail Kalashnikov in his 80s AK designs will either stop or be taken over by his son Victor.
